Jack and Jill
Walked in a garden,
Leaving bread crumbs behind them
On a yellow brick road.
“Mirrors” | 30×36 | acrylic+canvas | Nik Ridley. 2017 | All Rights Reserved.
We often see ourselves as separate from what we are experiencing – the people, places, things. Mirrors is an interpretation of the singleness of Life, and how it is a connected reflection of our own Self. In this, there is an inherent accountability and freedom from one’s perceived condition. -Nik Ridley
Scottsdale, AZ – Many thanks to Alan Shugert [ @imsoalan ] for supporting – you are OFFICIALLY an ARTSNOB! You are appreciated. #GoodPeople #Scottsdale #OldTown
“Mother” | 30×36 | acrylic+canvas | Nik Ridley. 2017. All Rights Reserved.
With each step is a million years of experience. She birthed into this world the dreams we all are. She is my Mother. Your Mother. Her Mother. Joi is her name, and you can find her in the hills singing a prayer – what Love will do. -Nik Ridley
“She Is Muse” | Acrylic+Canvas | 24″x30″ | Nik Ridley. 2017. | http://artsnobagency.com
This piece honors the “Muse” – the inspiring energy that animates the artist. When we speak of inspiration, I conceive a…messenger from God that delivers a “message” via color/sight/sound/experience. We are receptacles, or containers, of an etheric download. #Ptah
“Ties” | Acrylic+Canvas | 24″x30″ | Nik Ridley. 2017. | http://artsnobagency.com
Relationships are the Bedrock of society. It is the essence and sweetness of life, and the purpose of living – so that we could all know and experience one another. This piece honors our relationships and the ties that bind us all, together. May we all know, and practice, Love for one another.
“Espacios Sagrados” | 48″x48″ Acrylic+Canvas | Nik Ridley. 2016 | www.artsnobagency.com
This expose was special. Not only in its promotion for art as wellness and education, but also because Ron Jolly, his students and I have worked together before when we recorded, mixed and mastered a song that got placed in an indie feature film.
I have personally witnessed the power of art in teaching children valuable life skills and promoting wellness. Seeing the impact Ron has in his class and the positive outcomes, it just made sense to highlight his audio engineering program and to hear the importance of art from the students themselves. How they feel. What they think. The practical ways that art helps them in life.
Working alongside FelixFast4Ward added an element that words can’t describe. We also have worked together in music and theater, and there aren’t many people that are just…genuine, humble AND super talented. And, true to form, he came through – an experience we’ll all remember. Thanks, Fe 🙂
Special thanks to Ron Jolly and CEC Learning College Students (Denver, CO):
